2 more days............well, sorta

Well, we close on the new house in 2 days-excited, just a little:)

However, much to our dismay-we cannot move in until Monday:(

In the contract-the old owner has 72 hours after closing to move out. She told us a month ago that she would be out long before then-so we would be able to move right on in-well, when we got there to do the final walk-thru yesterday, lo and behold there was about half of her stuff still in there:( So she won't be all moved out until Sunday afternoon. Now, all of this after we have rented the u-haul, lined up people to help us move, set up cable, power, water, gas, etc...

So now it looks like Steven and me-muscle woman, will be moving all by our lonesomes on Monday:)So, if you have nothing to do this monday-and want to help-give us a call:)

On a much lighter note-Luke turned 4 yesterday-woohoo!!!

Granny and Grandpa sent birthday presents, and it was like a SpiderMan Christmas. He got just about everything SpiderMan you could think of. He also got some Spidy stuff from Mommy & Daddy & MawMaw & PawPaw. He was way pumped about it.

We will have his birthday party on September 30th, so we can have the party at the new house after everything has settled down a bit:) I will post pics after that!

Well, we will close on the new house in 14 days-I am a little excited about it (sarcasm noted)

Things are going well around here-busy at church and getting ready to move.

Luke is loving school-as we knew he would. His Aunt Barbara (great aunt) who is the assistand director at his preschool, told us the other day that as the were having an assembly they get different children to come up on the stage and hold the flags, bibles, etc...Well, she was trying to think of different ways to pick children to come up on stage, so she asked if anyone had a birthday coming up-and no one raised their hands, she asked if anyone had just had a birthday-no one raised their hands, after several questions with no one raising their hands-Luke shot his hand up, and when called upon shouted "I'm a Christian"-well, needless to say he got to come on stage and hold the Bible that day:)

We do need(want) a few things for the new house-if ya'll have any of these items that you want to donate to the poor-man-weems fund-let me know:)

First Day of School

Here are the pics from the first day of school. People keep asking me if I am sad about it, but I guess since I know I still have babies at home with me, I'm not. It's exciting to get to see him be so excited about it-he's getting to be a big boy. Every new step in life he takes is exciting-sorta like taking his first steps. When I went to drop he & Erika (cousin) off, they got out of the car, grabbed each other's hand, and walked in together-it was perfect!

Today is the last day Lukey is a baby (preschool starts tomorrow!)-so MawMaw & PawPaw got the kids some presents-here are the pics-fantabulous, I know:)

Well, a lot has been going on around here lately, we move into the new house in 41 days- we are very excited. Steven starts his new job tomorrow, he is ready to get going with that. God has really provided for us, just what we needed.

We will be joining Cedar Grove this Sunday, and I am the new "point person" for the children's ministry (meaning I organize everything), and Steven is the new college director-so we are excited about that too! We never had our kids dedicated at any of the other churches-so we will be having all 3 of them dedicated sometime this next month--fun!

Okay-here is the picture of our new house. Okay, okay- I know it looks ugly on the outside-but a new coat of paint on the house and deck-and it will be darling. The inside is WAY cute, and the yard is to die for! It is a 3 bedroom one bath (double vanity), with a living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and den(Auburn room:). It has a huge covered deck that runs the length of the house in the backyard, 3 huge pecan trees with perfect branches for a tire swing, and a cute little garden for me to try my green thumb out:)

After much prayer and consideration-Steven and I decided to go way cheaper with our house budget-so we would not be "house poor", and we found this darling little house (actually not that little-1700 Sq Ft). God knew just what we needed right now for our family. Anyway- I will post new pics after we paint it-it will look much different.

We will close on it September 7th, and move in that day-so the countdown is on-57 days!!!

As I wrote in my last post-we are getting very close to purchasing our first home-however, the one we love may be in jeopardy:(
It was a "flip" house, and it will be another week before they have finished with the inside and some upkeep things on the yard. Then for a full week after they get through, they will be accepting offers on the house, and they think they will be getting several. Since this house is so fabulous, and priced so very well for what you get, we are worried that there will be a lot of offers. We have a relatively low ceiling that we can hit with how much we can afford, so if it comes to a bidding war-we fear that we will lose:(
We LOVE the house, and it would be perfect for us right now-so we are praying that these people will accept our offer (4000 above list), think we are a cute couple and that we deserve it, and that we can get the house. So if you think about us-keep that in your prayers-that they would choose us for the house:)
If we can't get that house, here is houseing option #2,
Not as big-but brand spankin' new.

new house??

Well, it looks like Steven has got him a new job. And that means-WE CAN BUY A HOUSE!!!!

It has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a bonus room-as well as all the standards-kitchen-dining-living-etc...

Plus a HUGE yard for dog, swingset, trampoline, etc.

I know most of you already have houses, and it's no big deal-but this will be our first house that we have bought, and I am way excited about it after having to live with Steven's parents for 4 months. It will be wonderful to have a place to call our own.
